As a father, husband, and veteran I live much of my life in the realm of sentimentalism. Many people, places and things hold a strong connection to my past experiences. In turn I understand that they have also brought me to the present and will continue to shape my future in many ways. Acknowledging this idea of the cryptic life and the bond between physical elements and memory has become the major catalyst of my work to this day.

Using paintings, vessels and sculpture I bond this sentimentalism with romanticized narratives reflecting the culture, environment, thoughts, and memories I hold near and dear to my heart. Through this process I am releasing the innermost thoughts and desires of my past, present, and future. By sharing these intimate details of life, I look to connect with my audience and create conversation and experience responding to the expression of a life lived through many layers of history.
